     It is not easy, and sometimes it is quite difficult, especially when you realize that years of life depend on this decision. And what these years will be, one can only guess or do everything to reduce the probability of error, failure, disappointment. How not to make a mistake in choosing a profession? So, how to decide on a profession - you need to familiarize yourself with it.

Profession "COOK"

     The profession of cook developed along with civilization, so it can be said that it is the oldest profession.

    Signs of Greek civilization on the island of Crete in 2600 BC testify to the first professionals who made a living from such a craft.

    World cuisine has created tens of thousands of dishes during its history. Cooks were consulted, the prestige of one or another noble family depended on them.

   Did you know that the profession of a cook is not only interesting, but also quite difficult? In order for you to become a great cook, you need to have theoretical and practical knowledge, and the most important thing is to be able to combine them harmoniously in the work process. Also remember - a successful Chef cannot afford to make a mistake...

    Do you like to cook, experiment, create culinary masterpieces? Do you know well how to "make people feel good" or do you want to learn it? Then the profession of a cook is for you. This is an interesting profession that gives room for imagination and allows the cook to show his creative.

Profession "Confectioner"

  Oriental Turkish delight and halva, Austrian apple strudel, French tartlet and the famous charlotte, English truffles ... Yes, this is the profession of a confectioner. Masters of making sweets have always been appreciated.

The demand of the profession

   Representatives of the "Confectioner" profession are quite in demand on the labor market. Despite the fact that VET institutions produce a large number of specialists in this field, many companies and enterprises need qualified confectioners. For several years, there has been a demand for representatives of this profession on the labor market.

Description of activity

    The confectioner makes various types of dough for cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, makes all kinds of fillings from cream, fudge, chocolate, whipped cream, jelly, etc. Performs the process of preparing semi-finished products. Bakes confectionery products and decorates them. The profession "Confectioner" is a unique profession, interesting, creative, but also quite difficult.

Profession "Waiter"

     Waiter (from the Latin Officium - "position, favor") - the profession appeared together with European-type restaurants in the middle of the 19th century. In taverns, the duties of waiters were performed by boys from peasant families, who learned this trade for four years, starting with dishwashers and cleaners. Many famous personalities started their careers as a waiter. For example, Alain Delon worked in a pub, Brad Pitt - in a fast food restaurant.

    The profession "Waiter" is considered to be in high demand on the labor market, as there is an increase in the number of elite restaurants, and the requirements for the quality of service are increasing.

    And it is the waiter who serves the visitors of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and other public catering establishments. Each institution has its own requirements for staff work. According to them, waiters greet customers, arrange and serve tables in accordance with the standard and generally accepted etiquette. The waiter must know the menu of his establishment, the technology of preparing dishes, their characteristics and prices. He can advise guests to select dishes and alcoholic beverages suitable for their order. Banquets and ceremonial events are served by waiters according to certain rules and requirements. And this must be learned.

The uniqueness of the profession

    The profession of "Waiter" is currently very common, as there has been a high demand among employers for specialists in this area for quite a long time. But this field needed and will continue to need specialists.

Profession "Bartender"

     The word "bar" came to us from the English language. There it meant a small restaurant or cafe with drinks and light snacks. The employee who served the orders of visitors was called a bartender. Bar counters with drinks can be found in almost every entertainment establishment, as well as in restaurants and cafeterias.

Description of activity

The work of a bartender, on the one hand, seems easy and uncomplicated. But this is a false vision. A modern professional bartender knows not only a huge amount of preparation of various cocktails and drinks, but also the purpose of dishes, serving rules. In many establishments, bartenders show a real "freestyle" show. The bartender skillfully juggles bottles and dishes while preparing the drink, uses decorative fruits or fire. This pleases the public and increases the attendance of the institution. Such bartenders are highly valued in clubs, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Peculiarities of career growth

Nowadays, anyone can work as a bartender. To do this, it is necessary to undergo appropriate training and work as a bartender's assistant for some time. In the future, a bartender can acquire the skills of a freelancer or sommelier. The level of the establishment where the bartender works will determine the salary and future prospects. And the presence of a higher education and the professionalism of a bartender gives prospects for opening a business or becoming a co-owner of an establishment. 

Profession "Food seller, controller - cashier"

     Today, the profession of "salesperson-cashier" is one of the most accessible and sought-after in Ukraine. Many, even those who have graduated from higher educational institutions, go to work as sellers. Why? Because the requirements are not high, and the salary is the same as that of an accountant.

 

     The seller is a person who acts as an intermediary between the manufacturer of the goods and the buyer. In the most general terms, the seller's task is to provide the buyer with the goods he needs, and to receive money for these goods. The seller's specialization is determined by the type of goods he works with. Food products include meat and fish products, groceries, confectionery and culinary products, vegetables and fruits. Industrial goods include more than two dozen varieties.

    History of the profession: Trade as a phenomenon arose during the tribal system, and at first it had the appearance of natural exchange: one type of product was exchanged for another. Money as an equivalent of goods appeared somewhat later. One of the important stages in the development of trade was the appearance of merchants who traveled to different cities and countries, delivering rare and unusual goods and promoting the development of various sciences and diplomatic relations. It was the merchants who first began to consider the product and classify it. The development of trade was facilitated by the invention of high-speed modes of transport, which made it possible to speed up the delivery of goods even to the most remote corners of the globe by tens and hundreds of times. ...

The social significance of the profession in society.

   The seller's profession is one of the most sought-after, because the number of goods increases with each city, and the number of trading enterprises increases. Even the development of the Internet and online trade cannot eliminate the need for people in this specialty, although the profession itself has greatly modernized with the advent of PCs.

The mass and uniqueness of the profession:

    High demands are placed on people who carry out sales: knowledge of buyer psychology, sociability, stress resistance, attention - this is only an incomplete list of qualities that a seller must possess.

Where to get a profession:

   Until recently, the sales profession could be obtained only in vocational and technical educational institutions and trade colleges.
